Hello, I am Felicia Bracken. I am 38 years old and lives in New Jersey. I am a house wife and lives with my husband, my four children and my mother in law. Nowadays I am a bachelor’s degree holder in business management from Headway University. Currently I am working with a well reputed online buying and selling company as a marketing coordinator.
Things were not the way they are now some time back. Almost 2 years back when America was trying to recover from the recession and hundreds and hundreds of people were trying hard to land into jobs, I have myself seen engineers and skilled technicians roaming office to office in search of a job, but in vain. Unfortunately my husband, a veteran electrical technician who used to work in an electrical appliance manufacturing company from more than 7 years lost his job, as the company was downsizing in order to cut cost and as a measure to survive in the tough economic condition of the country when there is very less business.
As my husband lost his job, we started falling into a deep pit of darkness with no ray of hope that can reach us. I started working as a waitress in a nearby restaurant. I switched 3 jobs in 2 months because due to lack of business even restaurants are bound to fire their workers. I was watching TV the other day when I heard a discussion between two economist and they were saying that the only way to get through recession successfully is education. It’s only then when I thought to educate myself, the problem was, university education is very expensive. I discussed the possibilities with a friend and she told me about online universities. She told me that online universities provide same amounts of learning as any traditional university will provide. I enrolled myself in Headway University which is an online university that provides degree programs in a range of majors. I got my bachelor’s degree in business management with majors in marketing and soon after is graduated I got a job in this company.
